sa-mp crashing/acting weird

So it's just another day. I accidently opened singleplayer instead of samp, I immediately quit that game and then tried to launch samp. But to my surprise it kept crashing.

I have reinstalled the game, samp and tried running it in compatibility mode of windows 98, windows xp sp2 and running both as administrator as well. Nothing seems to work.
I have also deleted the gtasa.set file in the documents folder.

Just another thing to note, when I run samp in compatibility mode of windows XP sp2, it goes in game directly and tries to connect to :7777, the server browser/samp window doesn't open.

Any help is appreciated, will give some e-cash to whoever fixes this.

try deleting gta_sa.set in C:\Users\*\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files

hey thanks for the replies, mean alot.

the problem seems to be fixed automatically and i think it was caused by a windows update.
