How to fix ''Frames Per Second'' drop [FPS-Drops]!

Post by SmaLLGekasCBCnR » Tue Oct 29, 2013 10:08 am

I've seen alot of people, including me, having this problem (but i've fixed it).If you get frames per second drops [fps-drops] then continue reading this guide to hopefully find out how to fix it! (Thanks to Datty20 for some info)

Turning the frame limiter off.
Open up the menu by pressing ESC, and go to options.[/color]

Click on Display Setup.

Click on advanced.

Finally, click on ''Frame Limiter'' to turn it off.

2) Sometimes, the problem can also be resolutions. You might be playing on a too high resolution for your computer to handle.
Open up the menu by clicking ESC, and go to options.

Click on Display Setup

Click on ''advanced''.
Image

Change the resolution. Try as many resolutions as you can, and see which one fixes the fps drops. It might take a while to get used to the new resolutin though.

3) Changing the Draw Distance.
Open up the menu by pressing ESC, and go to options.
Image

Click on the Display Setup
Image

Click on Advanced.
Image

Put the Draw Distance to minimum.
Image

4) Finally, the last thing you can do is to change the Visual FX Quality to ''Low'' (this helped fix my problem)

Open up the menu by pressing ESC, and go to options.
Image

Click on Display Setup.
Image

Click on Advanced.
Image

Change the Visual FX Quality to ''low''

Doing all of the above will hopefully fix your FPS drops. If it did't, then well, you have to buy a new PC I guess ;) If you want me to add anything or suggestions, just tell me. Thanks.

Yes it helps, but (for me) the main cause was Fraps.

too bad you have the rat's brain
Tears are handy for washing away troubling and sad feelings. But when you grow up, you'll learn that there are things so sad, they can never be washed away by tears. That there are painful memories that should never be washed away. So people who are truly strong laugh when they want to cry. They endure all of the pain and sorrow while laughing with everybody else

Nice guide but maybe you should add a list of third party programs that can help e.g Game Booster, CCleaner

Are you kidding me ? This is a tutorial / guide for beginners or people who do not know about it . Although it seems simple to you but changing some of this settings can actually help a lot to people who does not have a "strong" computers . All SmallGekasCBCnR wanted to do was to share this tips with us !

Anyway SmallGekasCBCnR , good tutorial :) ! Just that there are some BBCode errors :/

I don't know about CCleaner, but Game Booster is shit. Pure 100% shit.
It just stops few processes (which you can select, but not smart) and fucks some system services too.

After all, no enchancement effect I've seen.
