Post Not related to samp
I used to play games on my laptop such as fortnite and some other battle royale games with an alright fps. But, everytime I keep playing a game for a while(I don't mean straight, there are some long breaks) my fps drops for 2 seconds then goes back up.
The pc specs are not good, I know that but I'm pretty sure that there's something that I need to fix cos every game was fine.
PC specs: GPUs: Intel HD graphics 3000, Nvidia geforce GT540M
CPU:Intel core i3-2330M
RAM: 4GB
If you need anything else I can check.

- On what resolution do you play those games on and the quality mode level?

- Overclocked system?

- Checked minimum requirement for games such as Fortnite?

Overall tips:

- Clean your PC from dust, if it is overheating easily, such things happen
- Check that you don't have like several of automatic updates coming, like from a antivirus software
- Close all background programs while gaming

Unpark cores, but I don't think it is needed for you.

If that issue occurs after a while then it seems like thermal throttling. The CPU or GPU downclocks itself to prevent damage due to overheating, thus the lower fps or occasional stutter.
Like P2H mentioned, removing dust might help. But I'd suggest replacing the old thermal compound since it gets crusty overtime and won't conduct the heat so well.

Hmmm, I'll try messing around with system settings and try to get the optimal settings. If that didn't help, then yeah it must be dust.
Thanks.

I'll say the same, clean out the insides and replace thermal paste on your CPU, it may have dried out.
Probably hopeless but make sure your PC is not running on power saving, set it to Balanced in power options.

I don't want to fuck around with the hardware cos the laptop is not mine but I'll just try cleaning dust.
